Lactation Consultant Services

We offer a variety of lactation services to help you meet your feeding goals. No matter where you are in your breastfeeding journey, we will assess and guide you through your breastfeeding challenges. Whether it’s latching and positioning, milk supply concerns, feeding transitions, or a multitude of breastfeeding issues  – no concern is too small, and no challenge too big. We’re here to help.

 

What is it?

Comprehensive assessment to understand your current breastfeeding challenges and one-to-one consultation and support to reach your breastfeeding goals. Assessment includes:

 

1. Review of medical history of breastfeeding parent and infant 

2. Maternal Assessment 

3. Infant Assessment

4. Feeding Observation 

We will support you in the development a feeding plan suitable for you and your baby. Additionally, we will provide phone and/or email follow-up within 2 weeks of your initial assessment. Assessments are offered in-home and virtually.

 

What is it?

Applicable within 6 weeks of your Initial Assessment, we offer follow-up consultations if you require additional support! Assessments are offered in-home and virtually.

What is it?

Prenatal consultations are meant to prepare you for successful breastfeeding from day one. Whether this is your first baby or you have previous breastfeeding experience, we aim to address your concerns, identify and manage potential challenges, and support you in setting realistic goals and expectations. We want you to feel confident and prepared for the journey ahead. Consultations are offered in-home and virtually.

 

Prenatal Education Classes

Whether you’re expecting your first baby or adding to your growing family, our prenatal classes offer practical guidance, evidence-based information, and a supportive community. Currently we offer two classes including prenatal breastfeeding and prenatal pump support.  

What is it? (LOCATION)

In our prenatal breastfeeding class, we will teach you the basics of breastfeeding and help you learn what to expect when your baby arrives! We will cover a range of topics, some of which include:

 

  • Breast Anatomy
  • Feeding Cues
  • Latching and Positioning
  • Signs of Effective Breastfeeding
At the end of the class, we will provide you with take home resources and tip-sheets to supplement your learning.

What is it?

This informative and supportive class is tailored for expectant parents who plan to express breast milk using a breast pump. This class provides guidance on choosing the right breast pump, how to assemble and use it properly, and when and how often to pump based on feeding goals. Participants will also learn about storing breast milk safely, building a milk supply, and integrating pumping into their postpartum routine—whether returning to work or sharing feeding responsibilities.
